DISAVOWAL: there’s an Elon Musk reference in this video, which we would not make now. At the time of recording, Musk was considered a kooky but mostly harmless Tony Stark type: an energetic guy who slept on the floor of his office at the rocket factory, while also running an electric car company to free us from fossil fuels, a tunnel company to give us more mass transit, and who also was obsessed with personally going to Mars and spending the rest of his life there. He wasn’t yet the world’s richest kazillionnaire, and more importantly, hadn’t revealed himself as what he has either devolved into, or secretly been all along. Much like the people with the “I bought this before Musk went crazy” bumper stickers on their Teslas, we’re stuck with the story in the interview, and we can’t bear the idea that anyone might take it as support.
